I’m a photographer based in Chicago, Illinois with a penchant for capturing natural landscapes and city skylines. I am passionate about nature, road trips, and outdoor activities.
I grew up in northwestern China in a place called Ily. My hometown was surrounded on both sides by snow capped mountains, gentle rolling hills and more creeks than you could count. With all that beautiful scenery, it’s no wonder why I love traveling, hiking, and photography.
After studying Electronic Engineering at the University of Xinjiang, the first thing I bought after getting my first paycheck was my first fully manual film camera. I went through tons of rolls of film taking shots of landscapes, portraits, and family activities everywhere I went. When DSLR cameras came out, my EE background inspired me to learn everything about timelapse using PLC(Programmer Logic Controller).
After moving to Chicago, I was fascinated by the fantastic architecture of the city. I often take long walks along the lakeside to see what new vistas I can capture.
